SIEGMA 3M3
The SIEGMATM 3M3 has the same features of the SIEGMA 3E3 but offers greater portability for ease of handling. The SIEGMA 3M3 has a lower weight per unit, and features a two-piece, modular design which provides for more efficient weight distribution.
In only 90 seconds, the SIEGMA 3E3 has been demonstrated to non-invasively and remotely detect and confirm, through metal or other barriers, the presence of explosives in an object with a probability of detection of about 97%, and “false positive” and “false negative” rates of about 3%. In addition to identifying a threat in an unattended package or bag, the SIEGMA systems is designed for the remote detection and identification of terrorist homemade bombs and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), which are responsible for the greatest number of U.S. troops killed in Iraq.
The SIEGMA systems are ideally suited for:
- Private & public transportation
- Bomb squads
- Airports and customs
- Military applications
- Private event security (sports venues, concerts)
- Government and high security facility protection
The 3M3 works the same way the 3E3 does, by remotely connecting a fiber optic cable to a portable or handheld computer to employ our proprietary “Interrogator” software and analytics. Using our proprietary algorithms, the remote computer processes the data and yields a graph and plot of the potential explosive or substance, as well as estimated mass.
The Graphical User Interface (GUI) presents the results and informs the operator if explosives are present based on the ratios of elements, including but not limited to carbon, hydrogen nitrogen and oxygen.
